Easy Jaggery Tomato Chutney
Ingredients
1kg tomato
250g jaggery
1 tsp fennel seeds
1 tbsp refined oil
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp nigella seeds
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp vinegar
1/2 tsp Chaat masala
salt to taste
black pepper powder to taste
Instructions
Step 1 To prepare this spicy and tangy chutney, start with washing tomatoes under running water. Then chop them and mash them in a blender.
Step 2 Heat oil in a skillet over medium flame. Once it gets hot, add fennel seeds and nigella seeds in it. Cook until fennel seeds begin to sputter. It will take you around 10-12 seconds.
Step 3 Now, add blended tomatoes to it along with all spices. Stir vigorously and cook for a few minutes.
Step 4 After 8-10 minutes, add jaggery in it and cook until it dissolves and the mixture thickens.
Step 5 Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot!
